Wilda R. (Castor) Christensen, 89, of McCordsville, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Kindred Health & Rehabilitation Center in Greenfield. She was born in Tipton County, Ind. on Sept. 6, 1924, to the late Harry and Bertha (Smith) Cole.
She is survived by husband, Neil Christensen, whom she married July 3, 1974, in Fortville; sons, Larry (Rita) Castor of Indianapolis, Jeffrey Michael (Linda) Castor of Greenfield, Mike (Connie) Christensen of Madison, Wisc., and Mark (Kay) Christensen of Oaklandon; daughters, Christy (Mike) Prewitt of French Lick, Ind. and Sheri (Thom) Kessler of Indianapolis; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cora Ann “Corky” Howard.
Friends may call from 2 – 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A celebration of Wilda’s life will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson.
