Alma L. Merriman, 69, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully on Dec. 19, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospice. She was born May 19, 1944, in Beauville, Ark., to the late Roy Lee and Eupha (Capp) Dawson.
Alma married Joseph Merriman on March 19, 1961. She was a self-employed residential cleaner for over twenty years. Alma was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenfield, a member of the Women of Moose, Greenfield and she loved to fish.
Alma is survived by her husband, Rev. Joseph Merriman of Greenfield; sons, Joseph (Barb) Merriman Jr. of Greenfield and Larry E. (Adona) Merriman of Shelbyville; brother, Johnnie (Sandy) Dawson of Indianapolis; 17 grandchildren and 17 great -grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. Services will be at 2 p.m. with Pastor Eric Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
