Marlene “Sam” (Souder) Sipf, 75 of Greenfield passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born Dec. 13, 1937, in Wilkinson, to the late Russell L. and Mary Alice (Jones) Souder.

Marlene received her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from Marian College.  During her nursing career she worked at Hancock Regional Hospital in the ICU, Community Hospital East in the ER and returned to Hancock Regional until her retirement. She was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Anglican Catholic Church, St. Margaret’s Guild, the Rivera Club and a Hancock Regional Hospital Volunteer.

Marlene is survived by sons, Jeff ( Pam ) Martin of Pendleton, Tony (Laura) Martin of Greenfield, and Joe ( Beth )Martin of Fort Wayne; daughter, Julie (Mark) Vojnovich of Indianapolis; sister, Ruth Ellen Pedigo of Kokomo; brother, Philip (Roswitha) Souder of Camarillo, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ernest A. Sipf in Dec. 2012.

Friends may call 2 – 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140.  Services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 63 and Keystone Avenue, Indianapolis.  Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
