Walter Dunn, 87, of Wilkinson, formerly of Laurel, passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at his residence. Born May 21, 1926, in Peppertown, Ind. and is the son of the late Dillard & Mary (Mullins) Dunn.

He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Navy. He retired in 1986 from Visteon. Walter was pastor of the Independent Baptist Church for 23 years and did evangelistic work for many years. He also did pastoral work for nursing homes.

Surviving include his wife, of 70 years, Fannie (Jones) Dunn of Wilkinson; five daughters, Louise (Paul) Sebastian of Laurel, Amy (George) Condo of Wilkinson, Loretta (Joe) Stulir of Comanche, Okla., Brenda (Donnie) Raines of Tellico Plaines, Tenn. and Juanita Callaway of Tolor, Texas; 18 grandchildren and many great and great- great -grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Woodrow “Woody” Dunn and Timmy Dunn; grandson, Joshua Dunn; great -grandson, Camden Jackson.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. A graveside service will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Laurel North Cemetery in Laurel with Ryan McCarty officiating.
