Billie Faye (Norrod) Johnson
Billie Faye (Norrod) Johnson, 75, a resident of Fortville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at a Hospice care facility in Greenfield.
She was born on Feb. 24, 1938, in Rickman, Tenn. to the late W.T. and Elizabeth (Thompson) Norrod and was the first of nine children.
She was a 1955 graduate of Rickman High School in Rickman, Tenn. and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Greenfield. Billie enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, quilting, reading, puzzles and especially loved spending time with her large family.
She is survived by her three children, Mike (Christine) Walker of Atlanta, Ga., Phil (Mada) Walker of Monterey, Tenn. and Pam Johnson of Greenfield; six grandchildren, Heather Dyer of Livingston, Tenn., Whitney Garrett of Algood, Tenn., David Walker of Atlanta, Ga., Leann Walker of Woodstock, Ga., Sarah Walker of Woodstock, Ga. and Taylor Johnson of Greenfield; three great-grandchildren, Zoey Dyer, Robert Walker and Tegwen Walker; brothers, Sam (Clara) Norrod of Livingston, Tenn. and Jerry (Judy) Norrod of Livingston, Tenn.; sisters, Clara Mae (Ronald) Phillips of Crawford, Tenn., Kay (Gary) Leadbetter of Monterey, Tenn., Jonell (Junior) Speck of Rickman, Tenn., Brenda (Roger) Moore of Rickman, Tenn., Estle McCowan of Monterey, Tenn. and Jimmy Dixon of Rickman,Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Johnson; parents; and 2 sisters, Elisabeth McCown and Margie Dixon.
Visitation is from 5 – 9 p.m. Friday Oct. 4, 2013, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel ,1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday Oct. 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
