Marvin D. Deuitch, 82, passed away on June 24th in Boone, N.C., during a visit to see his son. He was born on March 18, 1931.

Marvin graduated from Greenfield High School in 1949 then went to Purdue where he played football as the only walk-on member of the team. He joined the Kappa Sigma fraternity and graduated from Purdue in 1953.

Drafted by the army, he was sent to Germany, after first marrying his college sweetheart, Shirley, who accompanied him. They lived in Munich.

After returning Marvin entered the real estate business where he remained for 40 years; He served on the Sarasota Real Estate Board of Directors. He was also the Florida Chairman for the March of Dimes and was enthusiastic about his participation in the Toastmasters Club. He and Shirley owned two homes, their primary residence in Siesta Key, Fla., and one in Las Vegas, Nevada.

'Marv' and 'Shirl' were married almost 55 years. Shirley passed away in 2012. They had 3 children, Cathy in Atlanta, Mark in Boone N.C. and Jeff in Sarasota. There are 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and brother, Stan from Greenfield.

Marvin was predeceased by his parents, Domonic and Edith Deuitch; his wife, Shirley; and one brother, Don (Gene).

Arrangements were taken care of in North Carolina. There will be no services.
