Sue Ann (Nienstedt) Alexander
Sue Ann (Nienstedt) Alexander, 76, of Thornville, Ohio, formerly of Westport, Ind., passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio. She was born July 10, 1936, in Rushville, to the late Walter & Mary (Levi) Nienstedt.
She was a 1954 graduate of Rushville High School. A Christian by faith, Sue was a member of the Senior Extension Club of Perry County and the Homemakers Club of Westport, Ind. In 2010, Sue was the recipient of the Perry County Homemaker of the Year award. She was an avid reader, seamstress, quilter and sports fan. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, including needle point.
She is survived by her loving family; husband, Dr. George Alexander; children, George (JoLynn) Alexander, Angela (Ron) Hackney, Judson (Kathy) Alexander and Marna (Doug) Clippinger; grandchildren, Brock (Becky) Findlay, Patsy Alexander, Brandon Findlay (fiance' Deanna), Roy (Mariann) Alexander, Mallory Alexander (fiance' Josh), Ryan (Heather) Alexander, Carrie Clippinger and Kaitlyn Alexander; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jane Stumpf and Ingeborg Bennett; as well as several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call from 4 – 6 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with the memorial service celebrating Sue's life immediately following at 6 p.m.
