Shirley D. Stephens, 63, of Greenfield, passed away on May 13, 2012. She was born on November 23, 1948, to Jesse N. and Betty J. Tate Medlin. Shirley attended Greenfield Central High School, and married Joseph L. Stephens April 9, 1966. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and a member of Faith Apostolic Church.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Joseph L. Stephens; children, Larry D. (Sherri) Stephens , Amy B. (Marty) Muse and Joey M. Stephens; parents, Jesse and Betty Medlin; siblings, Dennis J. (Sandy) Medlin , Michael W. (Kim) Medlin , Judy K. (Matt) Whitton , Rhonda L. Medlin, Colinette Medlin and Jackie (Brett) Proffitt; grandchildren, Rodney, Sara, Cain, Devany, Kayla, Kyle, Lauren, Lacy, Isabella, Mason and Liliona; and great-grandchildren, Madison and Corbin.
She was preceded in death by her grandson Tyler.
Visitation will be from 4p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Faith Apostolic Church, 70 Tyler St., Greenfield, IN, 46140.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Apostolic Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel.
