Hilary Anne Weimer, 29, of Knightstown passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 22, 1982 in Greenfield. She is the daughter of David and Jean (Singleton) Weimer.

Hilary was a 2001 graduate of Knightstown High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Folklore with a Minor in Music from Indiana University in 2005. In 2011, she completed a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver with emphasis in Non-Profit Management.

Hilary served as an intern for Council of State Governments in Washington, DC from August to December, 2004. She was a museum education assistant at Lake County Discovery Museum in Wauconda, IL in 2005-2006. Hilary was a Health Aid and Office Assistant at Rocky Ridge Music Center in Estes Park, CO the summer of 2007. She was an Intern for Colorado State Representatives Stephen and Gerou and Community Education Intern for the Denver Police Department in 2010. Hilary also worked as Administrative Assistant/Contract Employee at the YMCA of the Rockies from August 2007 until September 2010. From June 2010 to July 2011, Hilary was a Financial Development Intern/Capstone Student for The White House Project in Denver, CO.

Hilary was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa at Indiana University, Indianapolis Sailing Club, Indianapolis Children’s Choir, Knightstown United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. She had also been selected as a Presidential Management Fellow. Hilary was active in hiking, biking, traveling, snowboarding, mountain climbing including 14,000 ft. peaks of the Colorado Rockies. She also enjoyed music and piano.

She leaves to cherish her memory her parents: David and Jean (Singleton) Weimer of Knightstown; a brother: David J. Weimer of Knightstown; grandfather, Wilbur E. Weimer of Knightstown; uncles and aunts, John and Jane Jorgensen, Robert and Camile Weimer; cousins: Kirsten Jorgensen, Anne (husband, Rex) Weber, Heather (husband, Greg) Turner, Monica (husband, Alex) Pasqual, and Wendy (husband, Doug) Sawyer.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Mabel Weimer; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Jaunita Singleton.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at the Knightstown United Methodist Church with Pastor Kenneth Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
