Maria (Soto) Guajardo, 80, of Fortville, died on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, at her home. She was born on March 31, 1931, in Karnes, Texas, to the late Juan and Ramona (Adams) Soto.
She is survived by her children, Dana Mercedes of Anderson, Ind., Rosalinda (Leo) Valenti of Chesapeake, Va., John Jr. (Susan) Guajardo of Lapel, Ind., Roberto Guajardo of Fortville, David (Kim) Guajardo of Fortville, Ramon Guajardo of Fortville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Guajardo; and sisters, Valentina Evaniz, and Ofilia Carlen.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at Woodbury Community Church, 8555 N. 500 W., McCordsville. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at the church. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson, Ind.
