Evelyn R. Smith, 89, of Greenfield, passed away July 4, 2011.
A housewife, Evelyn retired after 20 years of service with Heather Hills Elementary School, where she worked in the cafeteria. She was a long time member of Amity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, E. Joan (Floyd) Hoppes; sons, Steven O. (Scarlet) Smith and Douglas A. (Kathy) Smith; brother, Charles A. Kessler; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin D. Smith and son, C. Daniel Smith.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on July 8, 2011 in Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel, 11636 East Washington Street, where friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. on July 7, 2011. Entombment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery.
