Charles M. Peacock, age 63, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010. Born on July 29, 1947, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Benjamin and Florence (Hickey) Peacock.

Charlie married Connie Shambaugh in 1966 in Greenfield. He was retired from Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis where he began working in 1976 as a tool maker. He was a member and Past Master of Hancock Lodge #101 F&AM. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis and Eden Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. Charlie loved telling stories, spending time with his grandchildren, and had never met a stranger.

Surviving him are his wife, Connie Peacock of Greenfield; sons, Lee (Grace) Peacock of Longwood, Fla., and Joe (Glenda) Peacock of Knightstown; brothers, James Peacock of Greenfield and Earl (Phyllis) Peacock of Holden, Mo.; grandchildren, Melanie, Bayleigh, Nickolas, Zachary, and Mason Peacock; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, from at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at the mortuary. Reverend Mark Dodd will be officiating. Burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
