Robert "Bob" G. Edwards, age 90, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Hancock Regional Hospital. Born on April 26, 1920, in Hamilton County, he was the son of Frank Emerson and Goldie Ethel (Shull) Edwards.

Robert married Wilma Jean (Paxton) Elliott on Dec. 8, 1946, at the Beech Grove Church of the Brethren, north of Fortville. Bob was a devoted life long farmer and was a member of the Fortville Masonic Lodge 207. He was also an active longtime member of the Mohawk United Methodist Church.

Surviving him are his wife, Wilma Jean Edwards of Greenfield; sons, Gary Lee (Patricia) Edwards and Rick P. (Susan) Edwards of Greenfield; daughters, Diana (Dennis) Shock of Carmel and Bertie (Paul) Lappe of Greenfield; sister, Pearl Reed of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Danny, David, Deanna, Katie, Paul, Melissa, Matthew, Amanda, Christine, Ethan and Luke; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank and Goldie Edwards; brothers, William Edwards and Joe Edwards; and sisters, Emeline Manship and Maude Edwards.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at Mohawk United Methodist Church with calling for one hour prior to the service. Reverends Dennis Shock and Gregory Pimlott will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
