Trust buys Mt. Comfort property for $17 million

MT. COMFORT — Industrial Logistics Properties Trust bought the property that houses the Stanley Security Systems distribution center at 6825 W. County Road 400N, Buck Creek Township, for $17 million last month, according to Hancock County property records.

GPT Mt. Comfort Owner LLC was the seller.

Olivia Snyder, manager of investor relations for ILPT, said in an email to the Daily Reporter that the “property was part of a larger attractive portfolio of industrial buildings with strong tenants and uses that are e-commerce and distribution focused.”

ILPT, which is based in Massachusetts, is a real estate investment trust focused on that building type, Snyder added.

Snyder said ILPT does not have any plans for changes to the building, adding it’s long-term triple-net leased.

Elanco Health names four new board members

GREENFIELD — Elanco Animal Health appointed four new members to its board of directors, the company announced in a news release.

The new members will serve on staggered terms, creating a nine-member board. The board was initially established in September 2018 when Elanco became a publicly traded company following its separation from Eli Lilly and Co. The appointments follow Lilly’s full divestiture of Elanco, making Elanco a fully independent company.

The new members are:

Deborah Kochevar, provost and senior vice president ad interim at Tufts University

Denise Scots-Knight, CEO and co-founder of Mereo BioPharma

John (J.P.) Bilbrey, former chairman and CEO of the Hershey Company from 2011 to 2017
