‘Fiddler on the Roof’ to play at New Palestine

NEW PALESTINE — New Palestine High School will present “Fiddler on the Roof,” Nov. 16, 17 and 18 in the auditorium at New Palestine High School, 4485 S. Victory Drive. “Fiddler on the Roof” tells the story of the Jewish peasant Tevye, his wife Golde and their five daughters as they struggle to survive in early 20th century Russia. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7 p.m. The Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

Eastern Hancock students present ‘A Christmas Carol’

CHARLOTTESVILLE — Eastern Hancock High School presents Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” Nov. 16, 17 and 18 at Eastern Hancock High School, 10320 E. County Road 250 N. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7 p.m. The Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m. Relive the story of Ebenezer Scrooge as he comes face to face with three ghosts and his own mortality in this classic Christmas tale. Tickets are $7 for students and $10 for adults available at the door before the show.

Mt. Vernon adds sparkle, pizzazz with ‘42nd Street’

FORTVILLE — Come and meet those dancin’ feet in “42nd Street” at Mt. Vernon High School, 8112 N. County Road 200 W. Nov. 15 through 18. This family-friendly show tells the story of aspiring actress Peggy Sawyer, fresh off the bus in New York City from Allentown, Pennsylvania, with a pair of tap shoes and big dreams. Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows are at 7 p.m.; the Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m. Tickets range from $8 to $10 and can be purchased online at mvhs.booktix.com or at the box office on hour before the show.
