Four local students graduate from DePauw

GREENCASTLE – Four Hancock County students were among the 473 students graduated from DePauw University on May 20. Included were: Shelby Hanes, Fortville; Jonathan Mascoe, Wilkinson; Megan Montgomery, Greenfield; Sarah Pearson, New Palestine. Founded in 1837, DePauw University is a private liberal arts university located in Greencastle.

University of Indianapolis announces student honors

INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis recently released its list of student honors for the spring 2018 semester. To achieve honor roll status, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher but less than 3.7. To be included on the dean’s list, students must achieve a 3.7 or higher.

Included on the honor roll list are: Oliver Mast, Fortville; Adriana Branham, Storm Hunt, Caleb Kramer, Shyanne Milne, Greenfield; Deshea Johnson, Miles Wayer, Jason White, McCordsville; Alie Brown, Cassandra Doss, Katelyn Harvey, Kora Kropp, Sarah Niemier, Jason Tillage, Tyler Walden, New Palestine; Kaycee Ruble, Wilkinson.

Included on the dean’s list are: Lauren Bryant, Emily Crafton, Rachel Davis, Hannah Edwards, Regan Elsea, Jessica Foreman, Tate Hall, Renee Hilkene, Rachel Irbe, Alex McMillan, Samantha Scheiter, Samuel Spicer, Greenfield; Jorge Fonseca, McCordsville; Alexandra Collier, Brittany Duncan, Emily Jonas, Mikayla Little, Sarah Rose, Brady Walden, Laura Walden, New Palestine.

Hancock County student awarded Farm Bureau scholarship

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Farm Bureau and the Farm Bureau Foundation recently awarded scholarships to college students involved in agriculture. Ten students, including McKayla Mohr, received $500 Carolyn Hegel Memorial Scholarship awards. Many county Farm Bureaus also offer annual scholarships for students in their area.
