GREENFIELD — Chadwick Boseman made his first appearance as Black Panther (T’Challa, future king of Wakanda) in the 2016 film “Captain America: Civil War.” Now the star of his own full-length action movie, “Black Panther” is setting box office records with an astounding $763 million in tickets sold since its release in mid-February. “Black Panther” has everything: action, great CGI, strong female characters (Nakia, a spy and T’Challa’s love interest; Okoye, the female captain of an elite fighting force; Ramonda, his mother; and even Letitia Wright as Shuri, his little sister, a brilliant scientist), a fully fleshed-out world in the African country of Wakanda and a complex villain in Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger. Marvel film fans know not to leave before the credits are over; wait for not one but two kickers at the end. Rated PG-13, “Black Panther” is showing now at Legacy 9, 2347 W. Main St. Visit legacycinema.com for more information.
