GREENFIELD
Wayne E. Cummins, 94, of Greenfield, passed away November 21, 2017. He was born December 17, 1922 in Indianapolis to the late Ira D. and Corrine Cummins.
Wayne proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Marjorie Cox, and was the owner/operator of Cummins Construction for 45 years, retiring in 1985. Wayne was a member of American Legion Post #119, Greenfield.
Visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services Tuesday at 12 noon.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marjorie Cummins; sons, Jeffrey (Karyn) and Phillip (Donnia) Cummins; brother, James Cummins; grandchildren, Joshua Cummins, Crystal Keesling, Sara Cummins and Seth Cummins; two great-grandchildren with two on the way.
A sister; and four brothers, preceded him in death.
