Norma Claire Mileham nee Pinkley passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. She was born on June 7, 1928 in Decatur, Illinois as the daughter of John Raymond Pinkley & Margaret Agnes nee Johann.

She married Darrell Bernard Mileham in 1946. Norma had worked for a variety of businesses in Decatur, including Scruggs Drake Equipment, Sears, Staley Manufacturing, and Illinois Power Company. However, her real talent was in raising Lhasa Apsos and she was a member of the American Lhasa Apsos Club, the Greater America Lhasa Apso Club, and the Sandemac Kennel Club. Norma was also a volunteer at the Fairhaven Christian Home and a member of the Mound Chapel Church of God, both in Decatur. More recently, Norma has lived in Greenfield, IN near her nephew Michael Flynn.

Surviving are her nephew, Michael (Carolyn) Flynn of Greenfield, nephews, Ray Pinkley of Florida and Dale Pinkley of Minnesota, niece, Jan Pinkley Furr of North Carolina.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Wilma Irene Flynn and brother, Raymond Pinkley.

Norma will be remembered by her quick wit and snappy come-backs. She was quite a character and will be missed. Our thanks to the fine staff at Springhurst in Greenfield who have cared for her in the past 10 years.

Interment will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois at a later date.
