Low-income households can get utility assistance

HANCOCK COUNTY — A program aimed at easing the burden of high heating and cooling bills is available to county residents.

Through Aug. 25, the Low Income Energy Assistance Program will provide a $134 credit to low-income households to maintain utility services during the summer. The program is coordinated by the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority and implemented locally through the Interlocal Community Action Program, Inc.
