NEW PALESTINE — New Palestine High School publications students received seven awards during Journalism Day at Ball State University.
Senior Shelby Horsely, editor of the Crimson Messenger school newspaper, received three awards: a superior rating in the feature photo category, an excellent rating in the sports photo category and honorable mention in the feature photo category.
Three other students received excellent ratings: Seth Buis, in the photo story category; Elisha Deluhery in the review writing category; and Laura Hall, in the sports photo category.
Hannah Akers received honorable mention in the news story category.
