Annual talent contest for scholarship planned
HANCOCK COUNTY – The Hancock County Community Foundation will host the annual George and Icy Vaughn Performing Arts Scholarship Competition at 7 p.m. April 7 at the H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts, 122 W. Main St., Greenfield.
One vocalist and one instrumentalist selected through school-level auditions at each county high school will perform at the event. First place in each category will receive a $3,500 scholarship, second place $2,500, third place $1,500, and fourth place $1,000.
Admission is free and open to the public, and no reservations are required. Audience members will vote on their favorite performer to determine the Audience Choice Award recipient.
