GREENFIELD — A county nonprofit is again offering courses to community members seeking to become more knowledgeable about suicide prevention.

Mental Health Partners now offers suicide prevention courses to groups of 10 to 20 individuals — teens or adults — who wish to learn the right steps to take if they believe someone might be suicidal. The courses are $20 per person, which covers the course and course materials, said Mental Health Partners executive director Kim Hall.

Hall said she worked for decades in the banking industry and often felt helpless when customers presented symptoms of depression or suicidal thoughts.
