Royals’ regional tickets on sale
Presale tickets for this Saturday’s girls basketball Class 2A Speedway Regional Tournament are on sale at the Eastern Hancock athletics office.
Tickets are $10 for both sessions and will be available to purchase until noon Friday.
The Royals (14-10) will play South Putnam (15-10) at noon Saturday with the championship scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Winchester Community (20-5) and Covenant Christian (14-9) open the regional at 10 a.m.

Wise earns IBCA weekly honor
Greenfield-Central senior Madison Wise averaged 29.0 points and 11.0 rebounds in three games for the Cougars (17-11) to earn Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week honors.
The Iowa State recruit scored 36 points with 12 rebounds, eight assists and four steals in a 68-48 triumph against Richmond last week in the Sectional 9 opener. She followed with 26 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and four steals as the Cougars posted a 53-27 decision over Mt. Vernon in the semifinals.
Wise tallied 27 points with 10 rebounds and four assists, but it wasn’t enough as her team fell 51-41 to New Castle in the Class 4A Greenfield-Central Sectional. She converted 33-of-55 field goals, 7-of-17 3-pointers and 12-of-16 free throws over the three games.
Whitko senior Nathan Walpole, Richmond junior Christian Harvey, Central Noble sophomore Sydney Freeman, Bedford North Lawrence sophomore Jorie Allen, and Morristown junior Hayden Langkabel joined Wise as recipients for the week of Jan. 30 to Feb. 4 in the recognition program coordinated by the IBCA.

Marauders baseball to host Trivia Night
The Mt. Vernon baseball program is hosting its second annual Trivia Night on Monday at the high school.
Food will be served at 6 p.m. and trivia begins at 7 p.m. The cost to participate is $10 for students and $20 for adults.
The price includes salad, pasta and garlic knots provided by Kinseu Italian Cafe and a cash prize for the winning team. Door prizes will be awarded and a 50/50 and other raffles will be conducted.
Trivia topics will consist of TV, geography, sports, music, movies and more. For tickets contact head baseball coach Ryan Carr or purchase them in his room.
All proceeds go to support the Mt. Vernon baseball team.
