To the editor:
The letter from Ian Hutchinson (“We look outside our bubble to understand,” Dec. 8, A6) displayed the balanced approach we must take in bringing the American people together.
While it is easy and maybe a little satisfying to blame the other side, it is far more productive to find what draws us together. One example of this is the fact that our population and government centers are populated by many people from the heartland — people such as Mr. Hutchinson.
Let us hear what was said in this letter and seek to find more ways we are alike.
