Communities across the county hosted celebrations Friday in honor of the state’s Bicentennial Torch Relay passing through Hancock County. As torchbearers, nominated by   fellow Hoosiers and chosen by a local committee, passed off the torch commemorating   Indiana’s 200th birthday, residents of all ages crowded the route to watch the historic moment.
