Royals offering transport assistance at games

Thanks to a donation, Eastern Hancock High School has purchased a six-seat golf cart that will be used to transport fans who need assistance from the parking lot to the bleachers for varsity football games.

The school said it hopes to expand the service to all home football games and this spring for track meets, as well as baseball and softball games.

The shuttle service will run from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Friday and then again after the game to take fans back to their cars. The service is free and is intended as a service for fans for which walking a great distance is a physical challenge.

Those wishing to take advantage of the service should wait in the chairs at the sliding gate at the east entrance of the field, and the golf cart will pick you up. After the game, be seated in the small section of bleachers on the track, and the golf cart will pick you up there.
