Carole JoAnne (McDaniel) Davis, 80, Greenfield, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016. She was born on March 6, 1936, in Carthage, Ind., as the daughter of John D. and Mary L. (Walls) McDaniel.
Carole is survived by her daughters, Vicki L. (Gale) Riggs of Bonnieville, Ky., and Carolyn S. (Chris) Snyder of Rockville, Ind.; sons, Stephen R. McCorkhill, K. Rodney (Cheryl) McCorkhill and Richard D. (Niki) Mathews all of Greenfield; sister, Nancy (Jim) Gillard of Crown Point, Ind.; brother, John McDaniel of Greenfield; fiancé, Harry Thompson of Greenfield; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard “Dick” Davis; brothers, Duane “Mac” McDaniel and Richard Browning; special friend, Gene Brown; and son-in-law, Gale Riggs.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, September 3, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will immediately follow at Noon at the mortuary. Pastor Frank Everett will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
