NEW PALESTINE — Firefighters took to social media Tuesday afternoon to find the parents of a young girl found wandering a New Palestine neighborhood, unattended.

Rescuers posted a photo of the girl with a plea for information after she was found in the 5100 block of Bluebell Drive.

Police have since located the child’s mother, who said her daughter must have crawled out of her crib after being put down for a nap.

The Indiana Department of Child Services has been called to investigate. More on this story in tomorrow’s Reporter.
