Dear Greenfield Community:

The Greenfield-Central Rover Team would like to thank all the citizens who came to our Lunch and Learn event on July 29 at Riley Park East. The team members enjoyed sharing their experience of designing, building and racing the rover at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

The visitors were impressed with the many challenges this team had to overcome to place second and fifth at this international competition.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Mayor Chuck Fewell and Ginny Brown of the Greenfield Central School Foundation.  The Department of Education was represented by Mary Rhinehart, engineering specialist, and Jarred Corwin, science specialist.

We would also like to thank Ponderosa for providing cookies for our guests and The Mug who “mug hopped” our guests’ food orders to the park.  We hope our attendees learn more about the Human Exploration Rover Challenge and the outstanding job the students of Greenfield-Central High School did at representing Indiana and the Greenfield community!
