Buford Lawson, 87, Anderson, died on July 16, 2016, at the Community Northview Care Center. He was born on March 24, 1929, in Marysville, Ind., the son of Roy and Emily (Culbertson) Lawson.
Buford is survived by his wife of 65 years, Edwina Lawson; six children, Gary (Cindy) Lawson, Roxanne (Daniel) McNutt, Buford A. Lawson all of Anderson, Gloria (Ralph) Eytchison of Oklahoma, Terry (Joani) Lawson of Noblesville, and Kevin (Kim) Lawson of Pendleton; son-in-law, Kevin Barker of Pendleton; sisters, Elsie Cravens, Lucille Ringo, Laverne Taylor, and Barbara Jobe; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jennifer L. Barker; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; brother, Clifford Lawson; and sisters, Nevada, Roxie, Martha, Mona, Evalee, and Inez.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson. Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Carroll Cullipher officiating. Burial will take place in the Huntsville Cemetery.
