Spotlight Players

LAWRENCE — The Spotlight Players present “Charlotte’s Web,” named “the best American children’s book of the past two hundred years,” by the Children’s Literature Association.

All the characters are here: Wilbur, the young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckermans and the Arables; and the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.”

“Charlotte’s Web” runs weekends through June 26 at the Theater at the Fort, 8920 Otis Ave. Visit spotlight-players.org for show times and ticket prices.
