Vicky Lynn Thompson, 43, originally of McCordsville, passed away in her apartment on June 2, 2016, in Fortville. Vicky Thompson, who was previous known as Vicky Lynn Rush, was born at Greenfield Memorial Hospital to her parents, Leroy and Judy Rush on August 25, 1972.
Vicky attended school at the Mt. Vernon School District, and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1990, where she was a member of the school’s marching band. Vicky later graduated from the Indiana Business College in 1993. She was previously married to Brent Thompson of Greenfield, at the Fortville Church of the Nazarene on October 15, 1994. Vicky worked as a Legal and Medical Secretary, and later as an Executive Secretary for F&G Engineering, both in Indianapolis. In her spare time, Vicky was actively involved in several local churches, and served as a Business Consultant for the Longaberger Company as a hobby in her spare time.
Vicky is survived by her sons, Gabriel and Luke Thompson; her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Bruce Pimentel and their two children, Breanna and Brittany Pimentel; and her brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Gail Rush, and their four children, Adam, Joshua, Jacob and Amber Rush. There is also a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that are far too many to name individually, but Vicky has appreciated their love and encouragement.
Vicky is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Judy Rush; her paternal grandparents, Glenn and Blanch Rush; maternal grandparents, William and Alma Belcher; and paternal nephew, Brandon Rush.
The family of Vicky Thompson wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Rev. Phil Edwards and women of the Fortville Church of the Nazarene, who will be providing food for the funeral luncheon, Mike Staton of Seals Funeral Home, devoted family friends, Charles and Shirley Jacobi and Gail Jacobi, and all of the family and friends who have supported the Rush and Thompson Families through the years.
A Private Memorial Service for Family and Friends will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Fortville Church of the Nazarene, 701 S. Maple St., Fortville, IN 46040, with the Rev. Phil Edwards, officiating. A Private Luncheon for Family and Friends will be held at church immediately following the Memorial Service. Funeral Arrangements are being coordinated by Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat St., Fortville, IN 46040.
