GREENFIELD — Country Kritters 4-H Club conducted its meeting 7 p.m. May 24 at the Lowes Family Farm.

Hailey Hedrick, president, called the meeting to order, and 10 members were present.

Hailey Hedrick led the American pledge while Caitlin Cox led the 4-H pledge.

Vickie Ramsey and Cathie Hickerson, club leaders, explained upcoming events and project information updates. Community service and fundraising ideas were also discussed.

Donations were gathered for the Hancock County Food Pantry. Members voted to donate $50 from club funds to purchase protein snacks to be sent to our armed services in Germany. Hailey also reminded members to be sure to include teacher supplies for local schools such as Kleenex next year.

Delainey Reeves gave a demonstration about how to operate a rip board. Kaitlyn Lowes gave a demonstration with her show steer, Ivin, about beef showmanship. Members were offered a chance to set up Kaitlyn’s steer. Karly Lowes walked her calf, Mia, and introduced her to our group.

Members enjoyed a fun evening at the Lowes Farm and concluded with root beer floats.

The next meeting will be in July. Members were advised to bring completed white record sheets.
