Kathryn E. Gray, age 97 of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 24, 1918, in Hancock County to the late Earl and Daisy (Wilson) Snider.
Kathryn graduated from McCordsville High School in 1936 and was married to the love of her life Gerald “Bus” Gray for 68 years. Kathryn spent her life as a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Curry’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Greenfield. She enjoyed art, crafts and oil painting.
Kathryn is survived by her children, James (Janet) Gray of Florida and Denny M. Gray (Pam Chappo) of Greenfield; daughters-in-law, Jo Ann Gray of Greenfield and Kathy Gray of Greenfield; sisters, Wilda Harding of Shelbyville, Vivian Walker of Greenfield, June Browning of Mt. Summit, Jean Robinson of Dayton, Tenn., and Ann Logan of New Castle; Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Gray; son, Robert E. Gray; step-son, Charles Gray; and sisters, Mary Caudell, Carolyn Monroe and Judy Baldock.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday,
April 17, 2016, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10 am at the funeral home on Monday, April 18, 2016. Burial will follow the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
