GREENFIELD — Greenfield-Central High School’s dance teams proved they have the moves.

Both the Blue Fusion Dance Team and the G-C guard snagged the highest scores at their respective competitions.

The guard, which comprises 18 students, competed March 12 in open class at Center Grove High School, said coach Jacob Kalemba. The guard competed against 13 other groups in open class and was named the top group with a score of 84.1 out of a possible 100.

The GCHS Blue Fusion dance team won the Indiana High School Dance Team (IHSDTA) State Championship in AA Varsity Pom. They also were state runner up in AA Varsity Jazz. Also, a small and a large ensemble placed sixth and ninth at the State Championship the weekend of March 11 and 12.
