GREENFIELD — What do local honey, giant yard games and Bowman’s Bakery donuts have in common?

They’re all offerings at the second garden party hosted at Tuttle Orchards, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 23.

The garden party is the theme of the orchard’s annual spring open house, which has been held for nearly a decade.

Store manager Ruth Ann Roney, who is a fourth-generation Tuttle family member, said the garden party theme was a hit last year, so staff decided to try it again.

“People are ready for spring,” she said.

“They want to be outside and do things with their families.”

There will be lots of things to do outside, including taking on giant lawn games like Jenga and Yahtzee as well as (regular-sized) croquet.

It will also be the opening day for the greenhouses, with farmers and artisans previewing new and local products.

There will be samples and specials on items in the farm store, the new sweets shop will open and donuts from Hagerstown’s Bowman’s Bakery will be available for sale.

The event will be conducted rain or shine, and it is free and open to the public.
