Local utility honored with national award
GREENFIELD — Greenfield Power and Light recently received national and state recognition for having exceptional electrical reliability in 2015.
The American Public Power Association — a Washington D.C.-based trade group that represents more than 2,000 community-owned electric utilities — bestowed the recognition after comparing the electric utility’s reliability data with national data.
The electric utility works hard every day to keep lights on in homes and businesses across Greenfield, said superintendent Nelson Castrodale.
“It’s nice to see that hard work pays off with this kind of recognition,” he said.
