Greenfield Central seeks incoming kindergarteners

GREENFIELD — Kindergarten students and their parents are invited to attend kindergarten roundups April 12 and 14 at Greenfield-Central Community Schools Corp. 

Roundups will be conducted from 3 to 7 p.m. April 12 at J.B. Stephens and Weston elementary schools, and from 3 to 7 p.m. April 14 at Eden and Harris elementary schools. 

Parents or guardians must bring the child, his or her birth certificate, immunization record, doctor and dentist contact information, and emergency contact names and phone numbers. 

Teachers will provide information about curricula, transportation, lunch program, immunization requirements, medical forms, school corporation calendar, after school care information, and Kindergarten 101. 

A kindergarten teacher will conduct a short screening with each child. Students must be five years old by Aug. 1, 2016 — inquiries about early kindergarten entrance should be made by calling 317-462-4434.

If students and parents are unable to attend, registration information is available at all Greenfield-Central Community Schools Corp. grade schools or at the corporation office, 110 W. North St.
