Francis W. “Bill” St. John, 75, of New Palestine passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016.

He was born in Indianapolis, on Aug. 1, 1940, to the late Francis A. and Mary L. Englert St. John.

Bill was an electrical engineer and the owner and operator of Stelmco Electric Co. for 40 years. He retired from Amtrak after 30 years and was a reserve officer for the Marion County Sheriff’s Department for 16 years.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the American Legion. He was also president and CEO of the Indianapolis Electrical Contractors Association for one year and served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Norma R. St. John; son, Steven P. St. John (Rebecca); and daughter, Jill M. St. John-Archer (Scott Archer).

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th St., Indianapolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
