Greenfield students to attend debate convention

GREENFIELD — Greenfield-Central High School students will attend a debate convention in Cincinnati Nov. 21 and 22. The convention is sponsored by Junior State of America, a non-profit, non-partisan student-run organization that strives to promote civic engagement and combat political apathy among youth.

The event will include more than 300 high school students and feature Matt Borges, chairman of the Ohio Repubolican Party; and Liz Shirley, party engagement director of the Ohio Democratic Party. Greenfield students that plan to attend are Tyler Combs, Hannah Edwards, Noah Hite, James Colter, Frances Labore, Jessica Tate, Emily Scott and John Scott.
