Greenfield-Central fall sports programs planned
Fall athletes of Greenfield-Central High School along with their friends and families are invited to the following Sports Programs:
Cross-country, 6 p.m. today inside the cafeteria; football, 6 p.m. Nov. 16 inside the cafeteria; boys soccer, Thursday at 6 p.m inside the cafeteria; girls soccer, 7 p.m. Nov. 18 inside the Blue/Gold Room; tennis, 6 p.m. Nov. 16 inside the Cougar Meeting Room; fall trainers, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 inside the training room.

Mt. Vernon holds spot in state coaches’ poll
The Class 4A Mt. Vernon Marauders girls basketball team finished the season’s opening week with a 2-0 record.
Defeating Franklin on the road 58-55 last Monday, the Marauders won 63-55 vs. Warren Central on Saturday night.
With both wins, Mt. Vernon held its ground in the recent Indiana Basketball Coaches Association’s top-20 rankings.

Greenfield-Central gets votes in hoops rankings
The Greenfield-Central Cougars girls basketball team opened the season last week with a strong 48-40 win against Whiteland on the road Saturday night.
The Cougars’ efforts garnered the attention of the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association as Greenfield-Central earned votes in the top-10 rankings released this week.
