All Pro Dad event at Weston Elementary

An All Pro Dad event will be conducted at Weston Elementary School in Greenfield at 6:45 a.m. Nov. 6.

Dad’s and Colts spokesman Josh Bleill will be the keynote speaker for the event, which will take place in the Weston Cafeteria. 

The event is free and will give dads and kids a before-school opportunity to enjoy breakfast and a 45-minute program centered on fatherhood and family topics.

The program is designed to give fathers some tips and resources to help become the best dads they can be and assist in strengthening their relationships with their kids and families.

Pair roll memorable games at Strike Force

Jim Proper of Greenfield shot an 802 series in the Monday Sportsman league at Strike Force Lanes on Oct. 12. His games were 258, 278 and 256.

Brian Petrey of Greenfield bowled his seventh 300 game of his career in the Monday Sportsman league at Strike Force Lanes on Oct. 19. His series was 763. Brian is also The Greenfield Central bowling coach.

Eastern Hancock group plans Sports Mania Night

The Eastern Hancock Athletic Boosters annual Sports Mania Night is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday at Eastern Hancock High School.

Activities planned for the night include dodgeball and euchre tournaments, athletic games, carnival games and a silent auction.

Registration for the dodgeball and euchre tournaments are at 6 p.m. the day of the event.

Eastern Hancock honor nominations sought

The Eastern Hancock Athletic Boosters are seeking nominations for the 2016 class of the Eastern Hancock Athletic Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements of former athletes, teams, coaches, administrators and other contributors to the athletic programs at Eastern Hancock, Charlottesville, Westland and Wilkinson High Schools.

To be eligible, an athlete must be seven years removed from competition, a coach five years and a team 10 years. Nominations are due to the Eastern Hancock athletics director’s office by the end of school Dec. 1.

The 2016 Hall of Fame class will be recognized at halftime of the Eastern Hancock-Shenandoah boys varsity basketball game Jan. 23.

Fashion Show to benefit Cougars cheerleaders

The Hands and Feet Fashion Show at Cynthia’s will help benefit the Greenfield Central Junior High School cheerleaders.

The event is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. Sunday. For $10, ticket holders will receive entrance to the show, a scarf, 20 percent off coupons, food and entry into a raffle.

Proceeds will be donated to the Greenfield Central Junior High School cheerleaders.
