Notes: The Royals are ranked No. 2 in this week’s The Associated Press poll… Eastern Hancock used a balanced attack to beat rival Knightstown last Friday 53-28 at home… At 5-0, the Royals are off to their best start since 2013, when they made the IHSAA state finals… Against Knightstown, sophomore quarterback Jarett Lewis was 12-for-15 for 275 yards and five touchdowns… Senior receiver Austin Smith caught seven of those for 193 yards and three touchdowns… Junior running back Devin Denny led the ground game with 17 carries for 167 yards… North Decatur sits behind Eastern Hancock in the Mid-Indiana Football standings and a win for the Royals all but wraps up the conference chase… The Chargers lost to Milan last weekend, which dropped them to 4-1 and 2-1 in the MIFC… Evan Smith leads the North Decatur passing attack with 308 yards and five touchdowns (one interception)… Running backs Donovan Meyer and Luke Badgley have each rushed for more than 200 yards… Evan Wallpe has 128 yards receiving and three scores… Last season the Royals beat the Chargers 44-13.
