Friends of the Library to host used book sale
HANCOCK COUNTY — The Friends of the Hancock County Public Library will conduct a gently used book sale from Aug. 6 to 11 at the Greenfield location, 900 W. McKenzie Road.
The sale also will offer audio books, DVDs and CDs.
The sale will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 7; from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 8; from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 9; and from noon to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 10.
Closeout prices will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 11. A standard paper grocery bag full of books sells for $3, a plastic grocery bag for $2.
Proceeds will help fund concerts, children’s events and summer reading club prizes for the library.
