Local student studies in Alaska, earns degree

GREENFIELD — Brent Kramer, a recent Earlham College senior and son of Lou Ann and Michael Kramer of Greenfield, has studied ecology and conservation in southeast Alaska through Earlham.

Students in the program investigate both marine and terrestrial ecosystems and how they interact. The program emphasizes conservation biology and ecosystem management.

Kramer, who also was a member of the men’s varsity tennis team for three years, recently was awarded his bachelor’s degree in biology.
