It was a Father’s Day to remember for the New Palestine Youth League 8U All-Star boys baseball team.
Showcasing their offensive prowess, the team breezed through five games to win the 2015 Fall Creek All-Star Tournament championship June 21.
The all-stars were so prolific at the plate and on defense, they went on to outscore their five opponents by a 61-6 margin.
Even more remarkable, the championship roster consisted of six first-year newcomers to the team after spending their summer elsewhere prior.
The mix of old and new worked to perfection and helped raised the competitive culture, leading to a championship finale and a very special Sunday for several NPYL 8U All-Star dads.
