GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Board of Works and Public Safety this week approved a contract with an architecture firm to aid city officials in updating the comprehensive plan, which lays out an overall vision for the city, addressing items like business and residential growth and redevelopment.

City officials will work with Ratio Architects of Indianapolis to update the city’s 2006 comprehensive plan.

The plan will be a 10-year update and is expected to be approved by the end of the year.

The $20,000 contract includes a variety of services, including having the firm leading community meetings.
