Powell, Nuckols awarded soccer scholarship

Mt. Vernon’s Matt Powell, left, and Danielle Nuckols, right, recently were awarded the 2015 Steve Williams Soccer Scholarship. Williams, center, is the current Mt. Vernon girls soccer head coach and former boys head coach. The Steve Williams Soccer Scholarship is awarded to those players who most typify the tradition of sportsmanship, leadership, dedication and contribution to the excellence of the Mt. Vernon High School soccer program.
