Anita F. Young, 76, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at her residence. Born May 17, 1938, in Markleville, the daughter of the late Maurice Friddle & Evelyn (Young) Karpinski.
She was an avid IU Basketball, softball and George Straight fan. She loved the rodeo and painting.
She is survived by son Colin (Cody) Young of Pinckney, Michigan; daughters Dawn (Mike) McDaniel of Greenfield, Deanna (Jack) Schantz of New Palestine; stepdaughters Jean (Kathy Robinson) Potts of Greenfield, Pam (Jeff) Smith of Greenfield; grandchildren Cody Young, Cooper Young, Chance McDaniel, Casey McDaniel; stepgrandchildren Gary Wilson, Christy Lewis, Stacy Potts, Brain Potts; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother Jack (Vicky) Friddle of Charlottesville and sister-in-law Sherry Rigney of Wilkinson.
Preceded in death by husbands Dean Brumfield and Earl Young; daughter Teresa Jo Brumfield and brother Roger Rigney.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, in the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Pat McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
